This has been a fantastic last 30 days for the RM Stoudt Off Road Festival! We are two sponsorships away from setting up this event for not only 2011, but also setting us up for a great start to the 2012 event!!
Joining RM Stoudt, Epic Sports, Red Plum Media, Lifetime Eyecare, and State Farm Insurance as event sponsors is RDO Equipment headquartered in Fargo. Securing sponsorship from outside the community of Jamestown pushes our event from a nice little local shindig to a regional draw. This type of growth is critical to the survival of this race. We will not survive without drawing athletes from our own state. Both Epic Sports of Bismarck and now RDO of Fargo have broadened our reach to draw from the state's biggest populations.
I am absolutely jacked that my dream of expanding my little off road triathlon into first an XTERRA then a four event weekend festival is on the cusp of reality. I am deeply appreciative of everyone who has believed in this dream enough to support me. I don't care if that support is monetary or as a volunteer on race day, without it this dream is exactly that: a dream. I would also be remiss if I didn't give a huge shout out to the Buffalo City Tourism Board who has backed this event since its inception. Nina Schneider is not only the director of that board, she's a two year race day volunteer!!
